Sunday April 11th Kids4Peace Vermont held it's first annual Interfaith Walk 4 Peace.  47 people gathered at St. Paul's Cathedral at 1pmto start the walk.

We were sent off by prayers and blessings from the Acting Dean of the Cathedral Diane Nancekivell, Rabbi Joshua Chasen from Ohved Zedic Synagogue and Muhydeen Batah from the Islamic Society.  We walked up to the Church Street Mall and walked the 5 blocks along it with our signs and t shirts and shouts of"Shalom, Salam, Peace"   We got quite a bit of positive response including honks, whistles, thumbs up etc. to encourage us on our way.

Many of the participants were our former campers and their families.   The final count isn't in yet but so far we have raised over $5,000.  which we think is pretty good for our first effort.

Most important - it was fun!  Everyone had a good time and the weather was perfect.   And we came back to Middle Eastern  goodies, samosas, great humas made by one of our campers and great date-filled cookies.

Next years will be even better!  Thanks to all of you who walked and supported us!  See you next year!
