Summer Camp July 06th - July15h, 2012
Are you looking for Peace? Do you ask yourself why there is so much violence and hatred in the world? Would you like to be part of a group who makes a difference? Would you like to learn about other faiths and meet kids from Israel and Palestine? Would you like to have fun but also learn and share your ideas?
Interfaith advisers from both VT and Israel/Palestine are highly knowledgeable about their own traditions. They are skilled at dialogue facilitation and in fostering genuine friendships between children of vastly different cultures and experience. These relationships are continued throughout the year both in VT and in Israel through various follow up activities.
Kids4Peace Vermont will hold its fifth annual interfaith camp this summer, July 06th - July 15th, 2012 at the Bishop Booth Conference Center in Burlington, VT. Rock Point Center
The application process includes: 1) a short questionnaire on the child's understanding of peace and interest in participating in this program and 2) a family and child interview with camp directors/advisors. Upon acceptance into the program, each family will be asked to make a firm commitment to participate in several pre-camp orientation meetings through the late Winter/Spring months. Over the following year, there will also be opportunities for post-camp activities which will further deepen the recognition and depth of each child's camp experience.
Tuition is $750, inclusive of pre and post camp activities.
Please download the application, save it, fill it up and send it, either electronically to

Pre Camp Program
Precamp meetings include games and activities designed to help the kids get ready for the fun and work of camp. Concepts and skills related to peace-keeping are introduced and praciticed and the kids are encouraged to make contact and begin their relationship with their future friends from the Middle East. The kids exchange photos and videos of their lives and interesting information from their communities. Remember most of the Middle East kids have never have seen so much green. Its all so different for them, and in this part of the program we imagine some of the ways we can better welcome the kids to our life and home state.
Parallel programs are planned for parents to help them support their kids.

The camp will be held in Burlington Vermont, at the Rock Point Center
